For Typeforce 8, I collaborated with Nicky Mazur to create a digital, multi-media animation to help depict the tedious process that typically goes unseen in the social media age.
We started our piece by photographing a simple stop motion of a modern cell phone rotating in space. Each frame was subsequently printed out and individually numbered in order. Together we physically drew, lettered, collaged, and annotated on each frame. After we both contributed to every frame, we scanned each of the ~170 frames and turned it to an animation.
